InVivo compra Total Alimentos

A multinacional InVivo NSA, divisão agrícola do grupo francês InVivo com receita de quase 4 bilhões de reais, assinou nesta quarta-feira um acordo para adquirir a mineira Total Alimentos, terceira maior empresa de ração para animais no mercado brasileiro com faturamento de cerca de 500 milhões de reais.

Segundo EXAME apurou, o valor estimado da operação é de cerca de 300 milhões de reais.

Fundada em 1975, a Total Alimentos exporta para mais de 40 países dos cinco continentes e possui uma fábrica com capacidade de produção de 350 000 toneladas por ano, localizada em Três Corações, Minas Gerais.

Atualmente, o Brasil é o segundo maior produtor de rações para animais do mundo, atrás apenas dos Estados Unidos. No mercado interno, a Total Alimentos disputa espaço com a brasileira Lupus Alimentos e a americana Mars.

Major strategic investment in Brazil  for InVivo Animal Nutrition and Health

InVivo NSA, subsidiary of InVivo Group and major French player in animal nutrition and health has 
reached an agreement to acquire Total Alimentos, 3rd player on the Brazilian petfood market. This 
operation confirms the InVivo NSA development strategy on this industry and allows it to get a key 
position on the Brazilian market, second market in petfood after the United-States at world level. 
Total Alimentos generates revenues of €170 million and employs 1,400 people. The company has 
also key positions in dairy cattle, horse and aquaculture feed. 

The acquisition of Total Alimentos confirms the petfood global strategy of InVivo Animal Nutrition and Health  and allows it to get a key position on the Brazilian market.
